In exchange for operational freedom and flexibility, charter schools are subject to higher levels of accountability than traditional public schools. Yes. Like all all charter schools, Method is a tuition-free.

We serve students from all over Southern California. Most attend Method online, but some student athletes attend school in person at our Dehesa (El Cajon) campus. 

All students are unique; however, we've found our students often have something in common with other students in these groups, which we call Archetypes. Our archetypes, or paths, are: 

Residents: The Resident path is designed for families seeking a permanent, high-quality academic home. Unlike traditional schools where students can feel lost in a sea of hundreds, Method Residents benefit from our signature 19:1 student-to-teacher ratio. This "human-scale" approach ensures that every student is known by name and supported by a dedicated Success Manager who tracks their progress from enrollment through graduation. 

Performers: For student athletes, actors, musicians, and many others, a 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM school day is often an impossible hurdle. The "Performer" path provides the ability to pursue a professional-level craft without sacrificing academic rigor. Our fully flexible schedule allows students to train, travel, and perform during the day while completing their coursework during their own peak hours. 

Resetters: Sometimes, a student’s current environment simply stops working. Whether it is due to social anxiety, academic burnout, or a lack of personalized support, Resetters need a fresh start. We specialize in getting students on the right academic path.

Accelerators: The Accelerator archetype is a goal-oriented student on a mission to move fast. Whether they are looking to recover lost credits or fast-track their way to an early graduation, we provide the "bridge" they need to succeed. With our unique year-round track beginning July 1st, "Accelerators" can build massive academic momentum while the rest of the world is on break, ensuring they are always a step ahead. 

There is no set number of hours your student must be logged in each day — 91¶ÌÊÓƵ is a flexible, independent study program, which means your family sets the daily schedule. What matters is that your student is making consistent progress through their coursework each week. As a general guide, most students spend 2–4 hours per day on schoolwork, though this can vary by grade level and course load. Your Homeroom Teacher can help you build a pacing plan that works for your family’s schedule.

Yes! We deliver small class sizes - we average less than 20 students per class - and one-on-one support when students need it most. Students are also assigned Student Success Managers, who help keep them on track. While we serve many traditional home school students, Method provides much more teacher contact and direction than can be found a typical home school setting.

 At 91¶ÌÊÓƵ, grades reflect mastery of course content and are based on assignments, assessments, and participation in live instruction. Attendance is measured differently than in a traditional school — instead of tracking seat time, we look at consistent engagement with your coursework,  regular communication with your Homeroom Teacher, and live instruction classes. Progress is monitored through your student’s course completion pace, weekly 1:1 check-ins with their HRT, and quarterly diagnostic assessments. Staying on pace with your course calendar is the clearest indicator that your student is on track.

Yes. But, upon request any Method student will receive a laptop computer that can be used for schoolwork. There is no charge to any student.
